Cologne - Bonn airport (CGN)

Cologne Bonn Airport, opened in 1938, is one of the busiest in the country. It operates domestic and international flights to major destinations in Europe and some locations in North Africa and the Middle East.

There is an information desk between concourses B and C, in Terminal 1, available around the clock. In addition, there is a visitor centre in Terminal 1 (Tel +49 220 340 4388 / 4389) which operates Mondays through Fridays between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm.

The airport is located in the Porz district and surrounded by the Wahner Heide nature reserve, 15 km (9.8 miles) southeast of Cologne and 16 km (10 miles) north of Bonn.

Facilities for passengers with special needs

There are lifts, adapted toilets and accessible telephones on the premises. Designated spaces are available in the car parks. Passengers requiring special assistance or wheelchairs are advised to coordinate the appropriate services with their airline at the time of booking. An ambulift is available for boarding the aircraft. Children travelling unaccompanied will be escorted from the security checkpoint to the boarding gates, or from the baggage claim area to the exit.
