Cardiff Airport, opened on April 7, 1942, is the largest in Wales and one of the busiest in the United Kingdom. It operates domestic flights and international destinations within Europe and Northern Africa.

The airport is located in Rhoose, 20 km (12 miles) southwest from Cardiff.
