Kotoka International Airport, opened on March, 1958, is the main airstation in Ghana. It operates with domestic destinations and international flights within Africa, in addition to some destinations in Europe, the Middle East and the United States.

The airport is located 10 km (6 miles) to the northeast of central Accra.
See MapTaxi - Ranks are located in the parking lot, close to the Arrivals exit. There are both metered and shared cabs, which are cheaper. Taxis in the country have the frontal and rear panels and license plates painted yellow. The journey to the city centre takes between 25 and 55 minutes, depending on traffic.
