Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Spending the night at the airport
Accra airport is open around the clock, but it is not very comfortable for spending the night and it can be pretty noisy, so it is recommended to have headphones or earplugs.
Where to rest: There are few seats, and these are uncomfortable. In addition, the floor is not carpeted. Have blankets or a sleeping bag for more comfort. Inside Terminal 3 there are some VIP lounges, a couple of which are open 24 hours a day, although the maximum stay is 4 hours. If you decide to go to a hotel, you will find several in the vicinity.
Baggage: The enclosure does not offer left luggage services.
Eating and drinking: Options open throughout the night in the Departures area.
Restrooms: Showers only inside the VIP lounges.
Wi-Fi: The service is paid and it is only available in Terminal 3.
