Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Spending the night at the airport
Amman Airport is open 24 hours a day, so you can spend the night inside if you have an early morning flight or if your flight is delayed. Take a blanket and an inflatable pillow with you to make the experience more comfortable. It is also advisable to have an eye mask and earplugs to block out noise and light.
Where to rest: The boarding area has better options, with some seats without armrests on the second floor and quieter places. There are also some VIP lounges that are open 24 hours, but the maximum stay is 3 hours. A hotel can be found about 5 minutes from the terminal.
Baggage: There are no luggage storage facilities, so you will have to stay with your bags until you can check in.
Eating and drinking: There are food outlets open throughout the night, mostly in the Departures Hall.
Restrooms: Showers only inside the VIP lounges.
Wi-Fi: The service is free and unlimited.
Other services available around the clock: Banks, ATMs, currency exchange bureaus, convenience stores, pharmacies, spa.
