Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Spending the night at the airport
Arlanda airport operates numerous international flights, which generates a lot of movement during the day, although activity tends to slow down at night. It is possible that the security checkpoints may close at night, in which case you will have to stay in the public area until the next day. Due to the weather conditions, it is advisable to bring a sleeping bag or blankets to cope with the cold.
Where to rest: Numerous seats and armchairs can be found throughout the premises (the best ones are located next to gate F33). In addition, the SkyCity building offers more peace and quiet on the upper floors. There are more comfortable VIP lounges in terminals 2, 4 and 5, but they are closed at night. Finally, inside and in front of the SkyCity building you will find some hotels.
Baggage: The airport provides lockers so you can store your bags until check-in.
Eating and drinking: Most shops are closed for the night, but there is a 24-hour coffee shop in SkyCity.
Wi-Fi: Free for 3 hours.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, children's play areas, baby changing rooms.
