Zayed International Airport, previously known as Abu Dhabi International Airport and opened on 2 January 1982, is the second largest in the United Arab Emirates. On 31 October 2023, a new terminal was inaugurated, and later, on 9 February 2024, the official inauguration ceremony of the new facilities took place, coinciding with the airport’s name change. It operates numerous international flights around the globe.

The airport is located 31 km (19 miles) southeast of Abu Dhabi.
See MapThe car rental offices are located on the mezzanine level of the terminal, above the Arrivals area and below the Departures area. They operate 24 hours a day.
There are multi-level, air-conditioned parking facilities located a short distance from the terminal and connected via pedestrian walkways. All offer spaces for short- and long-term stays.
Inform your airline or travel agent about your specific needs when making your booking or at least 48 hours before departure.
The terminal is equipped with a sensory room, ramps, lifts, accessible toilets and counters, an assistance animal relief area, Braille signage, and designated parking spaces.
Wheelchairs, taxis, and electric vehicles for passengers with reduced mobility are available, as well as ambulifts for boarding the aircraft.
Special assistance counters are located in the pre-check-in area, next to entrance doors 3 and 6.
