Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Overnight at the airport
Bahrain Airport is open 24 hours a day, so you can stay inside overnight without any issues if you have an early morning flight or if your flight is delayed. Just remember to bring some warm clothing, as the air conditioning can make the terminal quite cold at night.
Where to rest: Inside the terminal, you will find numerous benches, particularly near the departure gates. There are comfortable armchairs, reclining seats, and armless chairs that you can push together to create a suitable sleeping space. Several VIP lounges in the Departures area are also open around the clock, although some have a maximum stay of 3 hours. For a better rest, there is a hotel in the boarding area and another one opposite the airport.
Baggage: There are currently no luggage storage facilities at the airport.
Eating and drinking: Many dining options remain open throughout the night.
Wi-Fi: Free and unlimited.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, currency exchange offices, baby care rooms, pharmacy.
