Parking services at Bergen airport (BGO)

The airport offers an extensive parking capacity of over 5,000 spaces, distributed between a multi-storey car park and several outdoor areas. All zones operate with a number plate recognition system, eliminating the need for physical tickets, and provide options suitable for both short stops and long-term stays.

Parking Areas

  • P2 (Covered Parking): A multi-storey car park located directly in front of the terminal. It is the most convenient and closest option for short stays or business trips.
  • P1 (Short Stay): An outdoor area located right next to the terminal, designed for periods of less than 24 hours.
  • P5 – P14 (Long Stay): Outdoor parking areas spread across the airport grounds, offering more economical rates for longer trips. The P11 sector is specifically reserved for high-clearance vehicles, such as vans or motorhomes.

Kiss & Fly (Pick-up and Drop-off)

For quickly dropping off or picking up passengers, there is a dedicated area on Level 2 of the P2 car park. The first 7 minutes of parking are free of charge. If this time is exceeded, the applicable sector rates will apply.

Special Services

Electric Vehicle Charging: The airport provides charging stations located on Level 1 of the P2 car park. Use of the chargers is subject to availability and may require payment via specific applications.

Bicycles and Motorcycles: Free parking spaces are available for bicycles and motorcycles, clearly signposted near the terminal.

Reservations and Tariffs: It is recommended to reserve a parking space via the official Avinor website to ensure availability and benefit from reduced advance booking rates.

Facilities for passengers with special needs

Bergen Airport ensures accessibility and comfort for all travellers, offering adapted services for passengers with reduced mobility, families and those travelling with pets. It is recommended to arrange any special assistance at least 48 hours in advance.

Assistance for Passengers with Disabilities

The airport features adapted infrastructure, including lifts, ramps and accessible toilets. Passengers requiring assistance should proceed to the designated meeting points or to the check-in desk.

  • Assistance Service: Staff provide support from the moment of arrival at the airport (including public transport or car park access) through to the passenger’s seat on the aircraft.
  • Wheelchairs: Wheelchairs are available for loan within the terminal if you need to move between different areas.
  • Parking: Reserved parking spaces for passengers with reduced mobility are available close to the terminal entrances.

Travelling with Children

Bergen–Flesland is a family-friendly airport with facilities designed to make travelling with children easier:

  • Unaccompanied minors: Children aged between 5 and 12 travelling alone benefit from an escort service from check-in through to handover at the final destination. Airline staff supervise the child at all times.
  • Pushchairs: Baby pushchairs are available free of charge for use in the boarding area after passing through security control.

Travelling with Pets

The transport of animals is subject to each airline’s regulations and to Norwegian animal health laws:

  • Relief Areas: It is recommended that pets relieve themselves before entering the terminal. There are no designated relief areas within the sterile (post-security) zone.
  • Screening: Animals must pass through security screening, generally remaining inside their carrier or being carried by their owners while the container is scanned.
  • Assistance Dogs: Assistance dogs are permitted access to all areas of the terminal and usually travel in the cabin at no additional cost, subject to prior notification.
