Bergamo airport (BGY)

Il Caravaggio International Airport, also known as Orio al Serio Airport and opened on March 20, 1972, is one of the busiest in Northern Italy. It operates with domestic and international flights to different destinations in Europe, Northern Africa and the Middle East.

The airport is located 4 km (2.4 miles) to the southeast of the city of Bergamo and 45 km (27 miles) northeast from Milan.

P1 - Outdoor area for short stays directly in front of the terminal. The first 10 minutes have no charge.
P2 - Covered and uncovered spaces 100 meters away from the main building.
P3 - Roofed and outdoor car parks 1 kilometre away from the terminal, with free shuttle service every 20 min.

Facilities for passengers with special needs

There are wheelchairs, ambulifts to board and disembark from the aeroplane, ramps, proper signage for the visually-impaired, special lanes and waiting room, elevators, adapted toilets and reserved parking spaces. Children between 4 and 14 years old travelling alone will be escorted by the airport staff until boarding the plane and then will be supervised by the airline crew.
