Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Spending the night at the airport
Bergamo airport is small, and although it is open 24 hours a day, you will have to remain in the public area once the security control closes for the night. It is probable that the airport staff will try to wake you up, especially after 3:00 am. The air conditioning is usually quite strong, so it is best to have a sleeping bag or blankets.
Where to rest: Most benches are made of metal and are uncomfortable, so you will probably end up sleeping on the floor. Another option (by paying or through different memberships) is to use one of the VIP lounges, where you can access more amenities and privacy, although these close at night. Inside the terminal, there are also private cabins, while in front of the enclosure you can find a hotel.
Baggage: The luggage storage office operates from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. This means you will have to keep your bags with you until check-in.
Eating and drinking: There are no records of options open 24 hours a day, so it is best to have snacks and drinks ready in advance.
Wi-Fi: The service is free and unlimited.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs.
