Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Spending the night at the airport
Bengaluru's airport is a modern facility that operates 24 hours a day. While the international sector is relatively quiet, the domestic sector is much busier, and you may experience a lot of noise. Bring along essentials such as an inflatable pillow, a blanket, an eye mask, and earplugs to make your stay more comfortable.
Where to rest: Although there aren't many places to rest, the quietest area is the boarding area, especially in Terminal 2, which is still not as busy as Terminal 1. You could also consider entering one of the VIP lounges for added comfort. Most of them are open around the clock. Additionally, there are transit hotels in the Departure areas of the terminals, and many accommodations can be found around the airport for all budgets.
Baggage: Luggage storage services are available in the Arrivals Hall of Terminal 1 and on Level 0 of Terminal 2, so you can leave your bags until check-in time.
Food and Drink: There are options open throughout the night in both terminals.
Restrooms: Showers are available in some VIP lounges.
Wi-Fi: Free for 2 hours.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, baby care facilities, prayer rooms, duty-free shops.
