Sleeping inside or in nearby hotels (BOS)
Possibility to spend the night at Boston airport (BOS), if open 24 hours. Services available, places to rest (free resting zones), or look for the list of nearby hotels and vip lounges.
Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Boston Logan Airport remains open 24 hours, but note that security checkpoints close overnight (generally between 11:00 PM and 4:00 AM). Therefore, passengers who choose to spend the night at the airport must stay in the public (pre-security) areas. Bringing warm clothing is recommended, as air conditioning can be strong.
Where to Sleep
Most public-area seats have armrests. The best spots to rest are usually:
- Terminal A: The third level tends to be quieter.
- Terminal C: The baggage claim area has a few benches without armrests.
- Terminal E (International): The arrivals level (lower level) often has more comfortable seating and less traffic overnight.
In cases of mass weather cancellations, Massport may provide temporary cots, but this is not guaranteed. Lounges close overnight.
Luggage
For security reasons, there is no left-luggage or baggage storage service at the airport.
Food & Drink
Most restaurants close overnight. However, Dunkin' locations in the public areas of Terminals A, B, and C typically operate 24/7, offering coffee and quick bites.
Restrooms & Showers
There are no public showers available at the airport. The only showers are inside certain lounges (such as Delta Sky Club and The Club), which are not accessible without lounge access or if you are in the public area overnight.
Wi-Fi & Charging
Wi-Fi access is free and unlimited via the "LoganWifi" network. There are abundant charging stations throughout all terminals.
24-Hour Services
- ATMs.
- Lactation rooms (Mamava Suites).
- Chapel (Terminal C).
- Children’s play areas (Kidport).
