Bari–Palese Airport (BRI), officially known as Karol Wojtyla Airport, is the main air terminal of the Apulia (Puglia) region in south-eastern Italy. Opened on 15 May 1930, it serves as a vital hub for domestic and international flights to major European cities and selected destinations in the Mediterranean and the Middle East.

Terminals
The airport features a single modern passenger terminal, which remains open 24 hours a day. Check-in services are located on the upper level, while the arrivals area is situated on the ground floor.

The airport offers several parking options operating 24 hours a day, designed to meet short-, medium- and long-stay needs. All areas are directly connected to the passenger terminal.
Parking Areas
- P1 (Short stay): Located immediately in front of the terminal entrance. It is ideal for dropping off or picking up passengers, offering maximum proximity.
- PM (Multi-storey): A covered structure located opposite the main building. It is recommended for medium-length stays, protecting vehicles from adverse weather conditions.
- P2 (Medium stay): An open-air area located just a few metres from the terminal, balancing convenience and competitive rates.
- P3 (Long stay): The most economical option, designed for travellers planning to leave their car for several days or weeks. It is within walking distance of the main building.
Additional Information
Payment and Booking: Payment can be made at the automatic payment machines located throughout the site or at the customer service office. To obtain lower rates, it is recommended to book online via the official website.
Reserved Spaces: Holders of the European parking card for people with disabilities have access to free parking spaces in all areas, upon presentation of the permit and the entry ticket at the parking office.

Facilities for passengers with special needs
Bari Airport ensures accessibility and the right to mobility for all passengers, in compliance with European regulations. The facilities are designed to provide a comfortable and safe experience for people with reduced mobility and other disabilities.
Services and Facilities
The airport features adapted infrastructure including access ramps, lifts with Braille signage, accessible toilets, and visual and audio communication systems. For boarding and disembarking, the airport provides lifting vehicles (Ambulift) that enable direct transfer between the terminal and the aircraft.
Reserved Parking: Free parking spaces are available for holders of the European parking card for people with disabilities. These are located close to the main entrances of the terminal.
Assistance Request: It is essential to inform your airline or travel agency of your specific needs at least 48 hours in advance of your flight. Upon arrival at the airport, assistance can be requested at the call points (yellow columns with intercom) located at the terminal entrances and in the car parks, or directly at the check-in desk.
Special Waiting Lounge (Sala Amica)
Located in the boarding area, the Sala Amica is a dedicated space where passengers requiring assistance can wait comfortably until they are escorted to the aircraft by specialised staff.
Autism Project
The airport participates in the "Autismo - In viaggio attraverso l'aeroporto" programme. This initiative aims to facilitate the travel experience of people with autism spectrum disorders by allowing them to become familiar with airport procedures through social stories and pre-arranged visits coordinated with the airport operator.
