Spending the Night at the Airport

Although Budapest Airport is not the most comfortable place to spend the night, especially due to noise and constant lighting, there are some options and recommendations for those who need to stay overnight in the facilities. It is advisable to bring earplugs or headphones to reduce ambient noise.

Where to Rest

• Seats: Although most seats in the terminals are not reclining, some more comfortable options can be found in the public area before security control, particularly in the SkyCourt building where there are padded benches. The corridors connecting the terminals may be quieter, but you may need to rest on the floor.
• VIP Lounges: If you have a membership (such as Priority Pass) or are willing to pay, VIP lounges offer greater comfort. However, it is important to note that most of these lounges have night closing hours.
• Nearby Hotels: For more comfort and a proper rest, there are several hotels in the vicinity of the airport, some of which offer transfer services to the terminals.

Luggage

The airport’s luggage storage service operates with limited hours (generally from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm), so it is not an option for storing baggage throughout the night.

Food and Drink

Most food and beverage establishments close at night. However, some options open 24 hours can be found in the SkyCourt building, including shops and certain fast-food outlets. It is advisable to check specific opening hours upon arrival.

Wi-Fi

The airport offers free Wi-Fi access for passengers. Please note that only 4 hours per day are offered per device.
