Jardines del Rey Airport, inaugurated in 2002, is an airport situated on the island of Cayo Coco, part of the Cuban province of Ciego de Ávila. It serves Cayo Coco resort area and Cayo San Guillermo.It operates with international destinations such as Montreal, Toronto, Quebec, Ottawa, London, Manchester, Warsaw, Moscow, and domestic flights to Havana and Santa Clara

The airport has a bank office opened 24h, the only office in the cays offering bank service on weekends, 2 VIP lounges, one belongs to the Cuban airline Cubana de Aviacion, the other one is accessible to any passenger (20 CUC, includes: express check-in, comfortable seating, open bar and snacks, TV, newspapers), Currency exchange booth, Public Phones (national and international), Infotur desk (tourist information)

Food and Drinks - There is one snack bar in the public area and two in the departures hall. Refreshments vendor are outside the terminal

Chartered Shuttle bus:

Most travelers arriving in Cayo Coco by air already have the transfers pre-arranged by a tour operator and included in their vacation package. If it's your case, then when you exit the terminal you will be greeted by your Tour Operator representative who will show you which shuttle bus to board for the transfer to your hotel. Journey time to Cayo Coco resort area (40 to 45 minutes) and to Cayo San Guillermo (30 minutes)

Taxi:

You can find taxis when exiting the terminal. A taxi ride from the airport to Cayo Coco resorts takes 10 to 20 minutes and costs approximately 15 to 25 CUC one-way (equivalent to $15-25 USD), depending on hotel. A taxi ride from the airport to Cayo Guillermo resorts takes 40-45 minutes and costs approximately 40-45 CUC. It is recommended to agree the fare first.
