Overnight stay at the airport
At Kolkata Airport, activity continues throughout the night, so be prepared with earplugs and an eye mask. Additionally, the air conditioning can be quite strong, so it is advisable to bring a jacket. Even so, spending the night here is an option many travellers consider when they have an early morning flight or a long layover.
Where to rest: The Departures area has numerous seats, though with armrests. You will find some more comfortable ones to lie down near exits 1 and 2 of the Arrivals area. There are also VIP lounges inside the terminal, some of which are open 24 hours a day, as well as private rooms for transit passengers. Additionally, a hotel is located in front of the main building, and other nearby options may offer shuttle services if booked in advance.
Luggage: A left-luggage service operates 24 hours a day near Gate 3C.
Eating and drinking: Most commercial outlets close at night, so it is advisable to have some snacks and drinks prepared in advance.
Wi-Fi: Free for 45 minutes.
