Charles de Gaulle Airport is committed to providing assistance and facilities for passengers with special needs, including those with reduced mobility, invisible disabilities, unaccompanied minors, and families travelling with babies.

Assistance for Passengers with Reduced Mobility (PRM)

It is essential to inform your airline or travel agency of your assistance needs when booking your flight, or at least 48 hours before departure. This ensures that the necessary equipment and staff are available to assist you.

The airport offers a range of facilities, including:

  • Escort services from your arrival at the airport to the boarding gate and vice versa.
  • Reserved and adapted parking spaces.
  • Accessible check-in counters and information points.
  • Hearing loops for passengers with hearing impairments.
  • High-contrast and accessible signage throughout the airport.
  • Accessible walkways, lifts, and escalators.
  • Adapted toilets and telephones.
  • Transport within and outside the airport premises equipped for passengers with reduced mobility.

Invisible Disabilities

For passengers travelling with an invisible disability (such as autism, dementia, anxiety, etc.), the airport offers a Sunflower Lanyard. This lanyard is a discreet indicator for airport staff that you may need a little more time, patience, or assistance during your journey. You can request one at information desks or assistance points.

Unaccompanied Minors

Airlines provide an assistance service for minors travelling alone. Generally, this service is available for children aged between 4 and 17, although exact age limits and requirements vary by airline. Airline staff will accompany the child from check-in until they are handed over to the authorised person at the destination, ensuring supervision throughout the journey.

It is essential to arrange this service directly with the airline when making the booking and to comply with their specific procedures for unaccompanied minors.
