As Chongqing Airport’s terminals remain open 24 hours a day, you can stay inside overnight. Sleeping at an airport may not be the most comfortable experience, but sometimes it is necessary due to long layovers, flight delays, or a tight budget. With proper planning, you can do so safely and relatively comfortably.

Where to rest: Once inside, look for the most comfortable seats and claim them. You can push together several without armrests to lie down. Otherwise, you may have to sleep on the floor, in which case having a pillow or blanket will make it more comfortable. The airport also has some VIP lounges with better facilities, but these close at night. Lastly, in Concourse F of Terminal 3, there are sleeping pods, and nearby hotels offer a more extended rest.

Eating and drinking: Shops close at night, so it is best to have snacks and drinks prepared in advance.

Baggage: Left-luggage services are available in Terminals 2 and 3 but only operate from 5:00 am to 0:00 am.

Showers: Only available in some VIP lounges.

Wi-Fi: Free and unlimited access.

Other services available around the clock: ATMs, baby care facilities, changing rooms.
