Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Spending the night at the airport
Chiang Mai Airport is not one of the most comfortable for resting, so it is advisable to bring a sleeping bag, blankets, an eye mask and earplugs.
Where to rest: There are not many options within the premises, except for a few armrest-free benches to the left of the main entrance and some VIP lounges that close at night. Around the airport, you can find various types of accommodation, some of which are listed below.
Baggage: There is currently no left-luggage service available at the airport.
Eating and drinking: Most shops close at night, so it is a good idea to bring enough food and water in advance.
Wi-Fi: The service is free for 2 hours.
