Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, opened on 12 December 1938, is one of the most important and oldest airports in China, serving the city of Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province. It operates numerous domestic flights across the country.

The airport is located in the Shuangliu District, 16 km (10 miles) southwest of Chengdu city centre.
