You may need to stay overnight at the airport if you have a long layover or an early morning flight. Chengdu Airport is open 24 hours a day, so you won’t have any issues staying inside. While the airport is a safe place, always keep your belongings close. Bring earplugs and a sleep mask for a better rest.

Where to rest: Look for a quiet spot and gather a few armrest-free seats to lie down. Some VIP lounges offer greater comfort, but they are closed at night. On the third floor of Terminal 2, you will find private cabins available for hourly rental. There is also a hotel in front of Terminal 1, with another one located 1 km away. Below, we provide a list of additional nearby accommodation options.

Eating and drinking: Shops and eateries generally close around 10:00 pm, so it’s best to have some snacks and drinks ready in advance.

Baggage: The left-luggage service in Terminal 2 is closed at night, meaning you will have to keep your bags with you until check-in time.

Showers: Only available in some VIP lounges.

Wi-Fi: Free and unlimited access.
