Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Spending the night at the airport
Dhaka's is an old airport, and although it's open 24 hours a day, it doesn't have many amenities, so it's best to have a plan B.
Where to rest: There are not many sleeping options on the premises, but there is a waiting hall with slightly more comfortable armchairs in the International Departures area, where you'll also find sockets for your mobile phone, laptop or tablet. There are some VIP lounges that are open 24 hours a day, but be aware that they may have a maximum stay. It's best to check into a hotel, some of which also operate shuttle services.
Baggage: You will need to stay with your bags until you check in, as there is no left-luggage service.
Eating and drinking: Commercial stores are closed at night.
Restrooms: Showers are available in some of the VIP lounges.
Wi-Fi: The service is free of charge.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, baby changing facilities.
