Sleeping inside or in nearby hotels (DMK)
Possibility to spend the night at Bangkok Don Mueang airport (DMK), if open 24 hours. Services available, places to rest (free resting zones), or look for the list of nearby hotels and vip lounges.
Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Don Mueang Airport is almost constantly active, even during the night. Nevertheless, staying overnight inside one of the terminals is a common option for those with early morning flights or late arrivals who prefer to save on accommodation. It is advisable to bring earplugs and a blanket or sleeping bag, as it can get quite cold.
Where to rest: On the Departures level of Terminal 2, there are numerous comfortable benches and wide surfaces where you can lie down, especially near some of the food outlets, while the observation deck is quieter (though seats there have armrests). Another option is to access one of the VIP lounges, some of which are open 24 hours a day. Travellers with a bigger budget may prefer the sleeping pods on the fourth floor of Terminal 2 or the hotel located opposite the terminal complex.
Baggage: Lockers and a 24-hour luggage storage service are available in Terminal 2.
Restrooms: Showers only available in some VIP lounges.
Eating and drinking: Options open throughout the night in both terminals.
Wi-Fi: Free for 2 hours.
Other services available 24 hours a day: ATMs, prayer room, children's play areas, nursing room, baby changing facilities.
