Dublin airport operates many flights and connections, so it is not uncommon to see late-night passengers waiting for their plane to depart. At night, the place can get quite cold, so it's best to be prepared with a sleeping bag or blankets. Also, airport police may ask for your passport or tickets to let you spend the night on the premises.
Where to rest: The most comfortable options are in the public area of the terminals, before the security checkpoint. The food courts have seats with armrests, but you can move them around to improvise a place to rest. In Terminal 2, there is also a prayer room and the PRM lounge, next to gates 407 and 408, which are ideal alternatives for getting some sleep. There are also a number of VIP lounges within the terminal. The only problem is that they close at night. There are two hotels within the airport grounds and many more options in the surrounding area.
Baggage: Left-luggage offices are open from 5:00 am to 9:00 pm. This means you will have to keep your bags with you until check-in.
Eating and drinking: Options open throughout the night in both terminals.
Restrooms: Showers only inside the VIP lounges.
Wi-Fi: Free and unlimited.
