East Midlands Airport, opened on April 2, 1965, serves the metropolitan areas of Derby, Leicester and Nottingham. It operates domestic and international flights within Europe, Northern Africa, North America and the Caribbean.

 Location

The airport is located 18 km (11 miles) southeast from Derby and 21 km (13 miles) to the southwest of Nottingham.
