Spending the Night at the Airport

Newark Airport terminals are open 24 hours. Passengers with a valid boarding pass for a flight the next day can stay in the secure area (after security) overnight. It is advisable to bring a sleep mask and earplugs, as activity, lights, and announcements do not stop completely.

Resting Areas

• Gate Areas (post-security): You'll find seating at the gate areas. Some terminals, like the new Terminal A, offer more modern and comfortable furniture. Look for less busy areas for a more peaceful rest.
• Lounge Access: Although they offer greater comfort, note that all airport lounges close overnight, so they are not an option for overnight stays.
• Hotel: The most comfortable option is to stay at the Newark Liberty International Airport Marriott hotel, located on airport grounds and accessible by shuttle.

• Food and Drink: There are several fast food options and cafeterias that remain open 24 hours in different terminals.
• Wi-Fi: Connection is free and unlimited throughout the airport.
• Luggage Storage: For security reasons, the airport does NOT offer luggage storage services. You must keep your belongings with you at all times.
• ATMs: ATMs are available 24 hours.
• Showers: There are no public access showers. Showers are only available in some lounges, but these close at night.
