The airport is located in the Devon district, 6 km (3.5 miles) east of the city of Exeter.

Passengers requiring special assistance or wheelchairs should inform their airline or travel agent of their needs at the time of booking or at least 48 hours in advance. Reserved parking spaces, ramps, automatic doors, accessible counters, lift-equipped vehicles to board the aircraft, adapted toilets, contrasting signage, Braille instructions and induction loops are available. Children between the ages of 6 and 12 can travel unaccompanied.
