For travellers seeking a peaceful and comfortable space before departure, Madeira Airport offers an exclusive area with premium services and privileged views of the runway and the Atlantic Ocean.

ANA Lounge

The lounge is located on Level 3 of the terminal, in the departures area, after passing through security controls. It is a space designed for both relaxation and work, providing a calm environment before boarding.

Opening hours: Daily from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm. The maximum permitted stay is 3 hours.

Services: The lounge offers a varied selection of snacks, light meals, cold and hot drinks (including the traditional Madeira wine), complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, work areas, television, international newspapers and real-time flight information screens.

Access: Access is available to passengers travelling in business class or holding loyalty cards from partner airlines. It is also possible to purchase an individual access pass directly at the lounge reception (€30.00) or to make an advance booking via the official ANA Aeroportos website.

Facilities and other services

 

The airport offers a wide range of services to ensure passenger comfort during their time in the terminal, including financial services, dining options and baggage assistance.

Finance and Communication

  • Financial Services: The airport features Multibanco network ATMs located throughout the terminal. There are also currency exchange offices operated by Unicâmbio on Levels 0 and 1.
  • Wi-Fi: Free and unlimited internet access via the official _VINCI Airports WiFi network.
  • Post Office: A CTT branch is available on Level 0 for sending mail and accessing other postal services.

Dining

The dining offer is varied and includes options both in the public area and in the departures area after the security checkpoint. Travellers can find internationally recognised cafés, fast food restaurants, pizzerias and outlets specialising in local products. Notable venues include Starbucks, Clocks and Buondi Caffe, as well as bars specialising in regional wines and snacks.

Shopping

The terminal features a modern shopping area. The Duty Free shop in the departures area offers tax-free perfumes, cosmetics, tobacco and alcoholic beverages. In addition, there are stores specialising in fashion and accessories from international brands, newspapers, books, gifts and shops selling local products, where travellers can purchase the traditional Madeira wine, embroidery and typical island sweets.

Baggage

  • Trolleys: Available free of charge in the baggage reclaim area (Level 0) and at the terminal entrance (Level 1).
  • Protective wrapping: Located on Level 1 (departures area), this service allows luggage to be wrapped in plastic film prior to the check-in process.
  • Left Luggage: If you need to store your belongings for a few hours or days, the airport offers a baggage storage service located on Level 0 (arrivals area), available 24 hours a day.
  • Lost Property: In the event of lost items within the terminal, passengers should go to the information desk or contact the Public Security Police (PSP), from Monday to Friday between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. It is recommended to make contact by email: esa.madeira@psp.pt.

Other Services

  • Medical Assistance: The terminal is equipped with a first aid centre and medical assistance for emergencies.
  • Baby Care: Nursing rooms and baby-changing facilities are available in the restroom areas throughout the terminal.
