The VIP lounge offerings at RIOgaleão are mainly concentrated in Terminal 2, covering domestic and international departures as well as the public area.

American Airlines Admirals Club

Located in the South Pier on Level 3 (International Departures), it offers a quiet and private atmosphere.

• Hours: 2:00 pm to 11:30 pm.
• Services: Wi-Fi, computers, showers, TV, kids’ area, bar.

Access: Admirals Club membership, American Airlines and oneworld Business/First passengers, Emerald/Sapphire status.

GOL Smiles Lounge

Exclusive spaces with massage chairs, air conditioning, drinks, TV, snacks, showers, newspapers and magazines, Wi-Fi.

• Domestic: Level 2, in front of gates B36/B37. Hours: 6:00 am to 10:00 pm (Wednesdays and Fridays until 11:00 pm). Maximum stay: 4 hours.
• International: Terminal 2, Level 3 (South Pier). Hours: 5:00 am to 11:00 pm. Maximum stay: 4 hours.

Access: GOL passengers (Premium Economy/Diamante/Ouro), Priority Pass, LoungeKey, DragonPass, Diners Club, eligible Smiles members, or pay-at-the-door access.

Plaza Premium Lounge

This network operates three independent lounges in the airport, offering high-end services including air conditioning, drinks, Wi-Fi, TV, snacks, showers, newspapers, magazines, luggage storage, fax. It is the only one with a presence in the public area.

• Domestic Departures: Located on Level 1, after passing security and going down the escalator. Open 24 hours. Maximum stay: 2 hours.
• International Departures: Located on Level 3 (South Pier). Open 24 hours. Maximum stay: 2 hours.
• Arrivals: Located landside on Level 1 of the Garage Building. Ideal for passengers who have just landed or are waiting for someone. Open 24 hours. Maximum stay: 2 hours.

Access: DragonPass, Visa Airport Companion, American Express (Platinum/Centurion), or direct pay-at-the-door access.

Star Alliance Lounge

Located on Level 3 of International Departures, this lounge stands out for its Rio de Janeiro–inspired design and views of the runway.

• Hours: Open 24 hours.
• Services: Snacks, telephones, Wi-Fi, premium dining, showers, newspapers and magazines, TV, computers, drinks, printers.

Access: Star Alliance Business/First passengers, Star Alliance Gold status holders. Paid access also available (subject to availability).

Facilities and other services

Finance and Connectivity

You’ll find Banco24Horas ATMs, as well as bank branches (Banco Safra) and currency exchange offices (Global Exchange) operating 24 hours a day in Terminal 2. There is also a post office located on the departure level.

To stay connected, the airport offers internet access through the official "RIO GALEAO WiFi" network. The service is free and does not require registration.

Dining

The dining options are mainly located in Terminal 2. You will find a wide variety of choices both in the food court (public area, mezzanine) and in the boarding areas. The selection includes international fast-food chains, cafés, pizzerias, and à la carte restaurants, several of which are open 24 hours.

Shopping and Duty-Free

The duty-free stores (Dufry / Duty Free) are strategically located in the international departure and arrival areas of Terminal 2. In the public area and the domestic boarding area, you will find convenience stores, bookstores, Rio souvenirs, fashion, electronics, and regional products.

Baggage Services

• Baggage wrapping: Luggage protection stations operated by Protec Bag are available in the Terminal 2 check-in area (24 hours).
• Left luggage: The service is operated by Malex. It is located in the arrivals level of Terminal 2 (near Gate C). It offers lockers and manual storage for luggage of various sizes, available 24 hours.
• Lost and Found: The “Achados e Perdidos” office is located in Terminal 2, Arrivals level. It operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. For inquiries, you can contact faleconosco@riogaleao.com.
