Transportation
The airport is strategically connected to the city centre and the main railway hubs of the Liguria region by bus, train and taxi services.
Buses
Volabus: This is the fastest direct connection between the terminal and the centre of Genoa. It stops at the Genova Principe and Genova Brignole railway stations. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes and operates from 5:30 am to 12:00 am. The €10.00 ticket also allows unlimited travel across the entire AMT urban network for 24 hours (including Volabus, Navebus, Ferrovia Genova Casella and the 782 Portofino line).
Genova Airlink: Shuttle service linking the terminal with the Sestri Ponente Aeroporto railway station in just 5 minutes. It operates daily between 6:00 am and 10:00 pm with a frequency of every 15 minutes. For journeys within Genoa only, you can use the AMT urban ticket (€2.00, valid for 100 minutes across the entire AMT network) or the integrated AMT/Trenitalia ticket (€2.20).
Trains
Although the airport does not have a railway station within the terminal building, the Genova Airlink service provides easy access to the Trenitalia network. From the stations of Sestri Ponente, Piazza Principe and Brignole, you can reach regional and high-speed services to Milan, Turin, Rome and the French border.
