Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Spending the night at the airport
Most passengers who stay overnight at Hannover Airport have an early morning flight. It is recommended to have a sleep mask, earplugs or headphones on hand due to loud noises and bright lights.
Where to rest: There are not many comfortable spots, but there are wide benches in the main hall and massage chairs next to the check-in area in Terminal A. Another option is to access one of the VIP lounges, which offer more comfort and privacy. Keep in mind that the maximum stay is usually 3 hours. Alternatively, there are also hotels nearby, which are listed further below.
Baggage: Left-luggage service is available 24 hours a day, so you can store your bags there until check-in time.
Eating and drinking: There is a fast food outlet open 24 hours between Terminals A and B.
Wi-Fi: Free for 3 hours.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, prayer rooms, baby care facilities, children’s play areas, casino.
