Public and private transportation

Bus - CTTransit (Tel +1 203 624 0151) operates line 206 between the airport and the city centre, with stops at Lighthouse Park and Fair Haven Chapel. Tickets cost USD1.75 and the service must be requested in advance. It departs Mondays through Fridays between 5:35 am and 9:40 pm, Saturdays from 6:50 am to 6:35 pm and Sundays from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Greyhound (Tel +1 800 231 2222 / 214 849 8100) offers long-distance transportation from Union Station, in downtown New Haven, to destinations throughout the country.

Train - At Union Station, you can board trains from Amtrak (Tel +1 800 872 7245) heading to Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington DC, Providence, Hartford, Richmond, Petersburg, Albany, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, St. Albans, Burlington and Springfield.
There are also Metro North services (Tel +1 877 690 5114) to New York and Long Island.
