Tehran airport (IKA)

Tehran Imam Khomeini International Airport, opened on 8 May 2004, is the largest in Iran, handling the majority of international flights. It serves destinations in the Middle and Far East, Asia and major points in Europe.

There are information and tourist desks near the elevators in the Arrivals and Departures areas and inside the transit lounge.

The airport is located 30 km (19 miles) southwest of Tehran.

P1 - Multi-level facility with covered spaces located underneath the terminal and connected by elevators, for short stays.
P3, P4 - Open-air areas for long stays in front of the control tower, connected to the main building by free shuttle buses.
P2, P5 - Mainly used at peak times, next to the customs area.

Facilities for passengers with special needs

Passengers requiring wheelchairs or special assistance should inform their airline prior to travel. To the east of the main entrance, there is also an assistance and consultation desk. There are ramps, lifts and adapted toilets.
