Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Spending the night at the airport
Karachi Airport is open 24 hours a day, so you can stay overnight inside the terminal if you have an early morning flight or are travelling on a budget.
Where to rest: There are not many comfortable places inside the terminal, so it is advisable to bring a sleeping bag or blankets in case you need to sleep on the floor. Several VIP lounges inside the terminal are open 24 hours a day, but keep in mind that the maximum stay is usually only 3 hours. As for hotels, most nearby options are located within the city, but many offer shuttle services for guests.
Baggage: There is no left-luggage service, so you will need to keep your belongings with you until check-in is available.
Eating and drinking: Some food outlets in the terminal remain open throughout the night.
Restrooms: Free showers are available in the Departures Hall.
Wi-Fi: Free and unlimited.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, currency exchange offices, porter services, prayer rooms.
