Comodoro Ricardo Salomón International Airport, opened in 1947 and reconstructed in 1983, serves the tourist area of Las Leñas, in Mendoza. It is busiest during the winter due to its proximity to the international ski center located in the Las Leñas valley. It operates domestic flights and seasonal international destinations in Brazil.
