Murtala Muhammed International Airport, opened on 15 March 1979, is Nigeria's most important airport, serving a significant portion of the country. It operates domestic flights and international routes to Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and North America. Currently, it is one of the largest and most modern airports on the continent.
