Given the number of flights and connections operated by Lyon Airport, it is common to find passengers who need to spend the night on site. If you plan to stay overnight, we recommend being prepared to ensure the most comfortable experience possible.

Where to Rest

• Terminals: Terminal 1 is the most frequented by overnight passengers, offering numerous armless seats in areas such as bars and cafés. The corridor connecting the terminals also has some reclining chairs, although limited. For more privacy, it is advisable to look for quieter corners.
• VIP Lounges: Although they close at night, during operating hours they provide a higher level of comfort and privacy.
• Hotels: Next to Terminal 1 and within Terminal 2, hotels such as NH Lyon Airport, MOXY Lyon Airport, and Hampton By Hilton Lyon Airport are ideal for a full rest. Additional options nearby offer shuttle services.
• Noise: Be aware that announcements over the PA system may be frequent during the night, so earplugs or headphones can be very helpful.

Luggage Management

• Left Luggage: Currently, the airport does not provide left luggage services. This means you will need to keep your suitcases with you until you can check in for your flight.

• Overnight: Food options are limited after closing hours. Only vending machines with snacks and drinks are available.
