Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Overnight stay inside the airport
The Manta airport terminal is a military base converted for passenger flights, so you'll find somewhat basic facilities. Still, it is open 24 hours a day, so if you have an early morning flight or if your flight was cancelled, you will be able to spend the night inside.
Where to rest: As there are not many comfortable places, you will probably have to lie on the floor. Therefore, it is advisable to have a sleeping bag, blankets or a travel pillow. On the other hand, in the boarding area, there are VIP lounges for both domestic and international flights. These offer greater comfort and privacy, but are closed at night. Near the airport grounds, there are several lodging options, some of which are detailed below.
Baggage: The terminal does not have luggage storage facilities.
Eating and drinking: Come prepared with a snack and something to drink, as there are no options available at night.
Wi-Fi: Access is available for a fee.
