Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Overnight at the airport
Macau Airport is open 24 hours a day, so you can stay inside the terminal overnight if you have an early morning flight. Make sure to bring warm clothing or a blanket, as the air conditioning is usually quite strong.
Where to rest: Most of the available benches are uncomfortable, made of metal, and have armrests, while sleeping on the floor is not allowed. However, after passing security, you will find some armless seats near the windows. The Departure area has a VIP lounge with more comfortable amenities, but it closes at night. Alternatively, several hotels are located nearby if you prefer a better rest.
Baggage: A 24-hour luggage storage service is available where you can leave your bags until check-in time.
Eating and drinking: Most shops close around 10:00–11:00 pm, but a
Starbucks on the mezzanine level of the Departures Hall remains open all night.
Wi-Fi: The service is free and unlimited.
