Bus

Transmac line 26 (Tel +853 2827 1122) runs to Bacia Norte de Patane and Coloane Market from 6:00 am to 11:30 pm, while routes AP1 and AP1X go to Portas do Cerco from 6:00 am to 1:20 am. Line 51A/51X travels from Praia to Av. Vale Das Borboletas, and bus MT4 operates between Bacia Norte and Terminal Marítimo Provisório.

TCM line N2 (Tel +853 2885 0060) runs between 0:00 am and 6:00 am from Bacia Norte de Patane to Terminal Marítimo Provisório. Bus 36 connects the airport with Rotunda Leonel Sousa from 7:00 am to 11:50 pm, while line MT1 travels to Praceta 24 de Junho from 7:00 am until 0:00 am.

The city's major hotels provide complimentary shuttle buses departing from the car park outside the terminal’s north exit every 15-20 minutes between 11:00 am and 9:00 pm.

The Express Link service (Tel +853 2886 1111 / 2888 1228) offers transport to the Gongbei/Hengqin border, Hong Kong, and Taipa Ferry. The company's offices are located on the ground floor and operate from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Additionally, long-distance buses travel to various cities in Guangdong province (Guangzhou, Jiangmen, Shenzhen, Foshan/Guicheng, Dongguan, Zhangmutou/Changping, Xiqiao, Kaiping, Huizhou, Dali, Zhaoqing, Gaoming/Heshan, Sanshui/Sihui). More information at Tel +853 2888 1228.

Metro

Outside the terminal’s north exit, there is a Light Rapid Transit station (Tel +853 2881 3721 / 3722). Here, you can board the Taipa line, which covers the main residential communities of Taipa. In addition to reaching the Taipa Ferry Terminal and Barra Station, this service stops at UCTM, Cotai East, East Asian Games, Union Hospital, Lotus, Cotai West, and Pai Kok. Departures every 10-15 minutes from 6:30 am to 0:00 am.

Ferry

The terminal is located about 10 minutes from the airport. From there, frequent departures to Hong Kong, Shenzhen Airport, Shekou, and Guangzhou are operated by Turbo Jet (Tel +852 2859 3333 / 800 3628 3628) and Cotai Jet (Tel +852 2859 1640 / +853 2885 0595). The journey takes approximately 55 minutes.

Schedules and fares

Although there are issues that seem more than obvious, it is always advisable to take them into account when moving to or from the airport, and especially if we go by public transport.  1- To the airport - It is convenient to leave with a little more anticipation than what is commonly suggested. If you choose a taxi or a private car service, always take into account peak traffic times, demonstrations, strikes or events that may delay the journey to the airport from where you are. It is always good to be informed about what is happening. If you contract a shared transfer service, have a contact telephone number handy in case of any delay by the company. In these cases they usually already have a scheduled collection time. If you use public transport (collective, train) take into account the schedules (weekends and holidays tend to have less frequency), if you have to change and also how to board (if you need a card or paying the driver or motorist at the moment ). These are details that seem obvious, but it is advisable to know so as not to have surprises and suffer a delay that could cause complications. If you rent a car to get to the airport, check where to leave the vehicle. At some airports, there is an exclusive parking lot for rental cars.  2 -From the airport- Here it is a little less stressful since you don't have the pressure of missing your flight. In the worst case, you will arrive later at the place where you are going to stay or at the meeting point where you are trying to arrive. Once you leave the plane, look for your suitcase and finish with the arrival procedures that are required. Then, follow the directions for public transportation or ask the airport staff. It is very useful to find out in advance the schedules of the buses or trains in case you arrive late at night. Not all work 24 hours. The same goes for taxis. In case of using an Uber-type service, have the mobile application handy to contact the driver. On the other hand, if you booked a private transport service, it is likely that they will have a person waiting for you, identified with a sign. If you rent a car to go from the airport to your final destination, for greater peace of mind it is advisable to book it in advance. Rental counters are usually available in the arrivals hall.
