Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Spending the night at the airport
Milwaukee Airport is open 24 hours a day, but be aware that it tends to be noisy and cold, so bring something warm and earplugs. You will need to stay in the public area of the terminal once the security checkpoints close for the night. In the event that your flight is cancelled due to adverse weather, you can contact the airport staff to provide you with a cot to sleep on.
Where to rest: The benches in the enclosure are uncomfortable and have armrests. If you have a sleeping bag, you can lie down on the floor or get comfortable under the workstations located at the entrance to Concourse C. Also, there is a VIP lounge in Concourse D for those passengers who qualify, but it closes at night. Remember that some hotels in the surrounding area operate shuttle services for their guests.
Baggage: There are no luggage storage facilities within the airport.
Eating and drinking: There are
Farmer's Fridge vending machines in concourses C and D that are available all night.
Wi-Fi: Free and unlimited.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, baby changing facilities, children's play areas.
