Spending the night at the airport

Malé Airport is small and somewhat outdated, so there are not many amenities. However, staying overnight inside may be necessary in certain situations, such as waiting for a connecting flight or arriving too late to catch a ferry to other islands. It is advisable to bring headphones or earplugs.

Where to rest: Most seats are metal and not very comfortable, but in the Domestic Terminal Departures area, you can find some better armchairs in a waiting lounge. Another option is the seating inside the ferry terminal in front of the airport. VIP lounges are also available, some open 24 hours. As for hotels, there are a few options on the airport island. Ask your airline if they provide accommodation or services for transit passengers with long layovers.

Baggage: You can leave your bags at the information counters inside the terminals.

Eating and drinking: There are no options open during the night. Make sure to bring enough water and some snacks with you.

Restrooms: Showers are available in the Departures area.
