Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport, opened in 1942, is the main airstation in Mauritius. It not only serves the capital, but the whole group of islands that forms the country. It operates with flights to different destinations in Africa, the Middle East, Europe and Asia.

Bus - All services leave from the airport's car park. Line 9 travels between Mahebourg and Curepipe Jan Palach South stations in about 70 minutes, with a frequency of 10 min. It leaves from 4:50 am to 8:00 pm and intermediate stops include Plaine Magnien, Rose Belle, Jawaharlall Nehru Hospital, Nouvelle France and Forest Side. Route 10 departs every 20 min. and runs from Mahebourg Traffic Centre to Rivií¨re des Gallets, with a trip of 105 min. It operates from 5:00 am to 6:00 pm and stops at L'Escalier, Savannah, Riche Bois, Chateau Benares, Souillac and Chemin Grenier. Bus 198 goes from Port Louis Victoria Square to Mahebourg in around 85 min., with departures every 15 min. between 5:10 am and 6:45 pm. Stops include Plaine Magnien, Rose Belle, Pellegrin and Reduit. There is a parking lot for short and long stays opposite the terminal and connected to it through wide walkways. The first 20 minutes are free. Rates
Facilities include ramps, elevators, adapted toilets, special lanes through the different controls, accessible counters and reserved parking spaces close to the terminal. Passengers requiring special assistance or wheelchairs should inform their airline about their particular needs at least 48 hours in advance. Unaccompanied minors will be escorted by staff from the corresponding airline.
