Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport, opened on 24 November 1945, is the main airport of the Republic of Mauritius. It not only serves the capital but also the entire group of islands that make up the country. It operates flights to various destinations in Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and Asia.

Facilities for passengers with special needs
Facilities include ramps, lifts, adapted toilets, special lanes at various checkpoints, accessible counters, and reserved parking spaces close to the terminal. Passengers requiring special assistance or wheelchairs must inform their airline of their specific needs at least 48 hours in advance. Unaccompanied minors will be escorted by staff from the relevant airline.
