While Malpensa Airport offers accommodation directly connected to the terminals and nearby hotels, passengers with very early flights or in transit may choose to spend the night inside the facilities. The airport remains open 24 hours a day, offering some comforts, although most services close after midnight.

Where to rest

Sleeping at the airport can be challenging due to seat arrangements and the overall environment:

• Seating: Most seats in both terminals have armrests, making it difficult to lie down. Some areas, such as the waiting zones near gates A1-10 and A81-83 in Terminal 1, and the chapel, may offer more comfortable armchairs. Terminal 1 generally offers more seating options and is more spacious than Terminal 2.
• Quiet areas: It is recommended to look for places on upper levels or further away from high-traffic zones to find some quiet. Consider using earplugs and an eye mask.
• Temperature: Air conditioning can be strong, even at night and during winter, so it is advisable to bring several layers of clothing or a travel blanket.
• Sleeping pods: For greater comfort and privacy, the ZzzleepandGo sleeping pods are located in the Terminal 1 boarding area, near entrance 12, ideal for a quick nap or a more comfortable night.

Food and drinks

During the night, food and drink options are limited:

• Most shops and restaurants close between 10:00 pm and midnight, except for Pret A Manger, which remains open all night.
• Some snack and drink vending machines remain operational 24 hours a day. It is recommended to buy something before midnight if you plan to spend the night.

Luggage

The luggage storage service has limited hours (it closes at 9:00 pm and reopens at 7:00 am). If your flight departs very early, you will need to keep your bags with you until the check-in counters open. It is crucial to keep your belongings secure at all times.

Bathrooms and showers

Public toilets are available 24 hours a day. Showers are only found inside VIP lounges. If you do not have access to a lounge, there are no public showers available.

Wi-Fi

The airport offers free and unlimited Wi-Fi, although the speed may be slow during peak hours. There are paid premium plans for a faster connection.
