Connections to Varese and Switzerland (Tilo trains)The Tilo regional train service connects Malpensa terminals with Canton Ticino in Switzerland every day, with stops in Gallarate, Varese, Mendrisio, Lugano and Bellinzona.
Departures from Como: the first train leaves Bellinzona station at 4:33 am, followed by trains every hour until 9:33 pm.
Departures from Malpensa Terminal 1: the first train leaves at 6:13 am, followed by trains every hour until 11:13 pm.
Travel time: 2 hours and 13 minutes.
With the extension of the S50 to Malpensa Airport, the S40 line only goes to Varese, Monday to Saturday from 5:30 am to 8:00 pm.
