Natal International Airport features a large official parking lot located in front of the terminal building, operating 24 hours a day. It offers convenience and security for passengers wishing to leave their vehicles for short or long periods. Sectors:
The parking area has approximately 1,500 spaces, divided into:
- Covered Sector: Spaces with shading structures (awning), ideal for protecting the vehicle from the region's intense sun.
- Uncovered Sector: Open-air spaces, generally with more economical rates for long stays.
Tolerance (Drop-off):
There is a 15-minute grace period at no cost. This time is intended exclusively for quick passenger pick-up and drop-off. If this limit is exceeded, the full rate will be charged from the moment of entry.
Payment Methods:
Payment must be made before removing the vehicle. It can be paid at the self-service kiosks (totems) distributed throughout the terminal (cash and cards) or through mobile payment apps indicated on-site.
Facilities for passengers with special needs
Natal International Airport (NAT) features modern and accessible infrastructure, managed by Zurich Airport Brasil. The facilities comply with ANAC regulations (Resolution 280) to ensure safe and autonomous transit for people with reduced mobility and special needs.
Reduced Mobility
The terminal is spacious and features ramps, elevators, escalators, adapted telephones, and accessible restrooms in all areas.
Boarding and Disembarking:
Most flights use boarding bridges (jet bridges). For operations at remote positions, the airport uses Ambulifts (lift vehicles known as "Mamuth"), which allow for safe boarding and disembarking from the aircraft without the need to use stairs.
Requesting Assistance:
It is the airline's responsibility to provide wheelchairs and personal assistance. This service must be requested at the time of booking or at least 48 hours before the flight.
Hidden Disabilities
Sunflower Lanyard: The airport recognizes the use of the "Sunflower Lanyard." This badge allows staff to discreetly identify passengers with non-visible disabilities (autism, anxiety, dementia), providing them with more patience, support, and guidance during airport processes.
Priority by Law
In Brazil, preferential service is a right guaranteed by law. Priority is given in check-in, security screening, and boarding lines to:
- People over 60 years old.
- Pregnant and breastfeeding women.
- People with infants (under 2 years old).
- People with reduced mobility or obesity.
Families
For the comfort of those traveling with babies, the airport provides baby care rooms (fraldários) equipped with changing tables and nursing chairs, located in both the public area and the departure lounge.
