La Tontouta International Airport, opened on 4 February 1991, is the main international air terminal in New Caledonia. It operates international flights within Oceania, Southeast Asia and Paris.

Location
The airport is situated in the commune of Païta, 37 km (23 miles) northwest of Nouméa, the capital of the French overseas territory of New Caledonia and the South Province.
