Weeze Airport, also known as Niederrhein Airport and opened on 1 May 2003, serves the Lower Rhine region, the German cities of Weeze, Kevelaer, and Duisburg, as well as the Dutch towns of Venlo, Nijmegen, and Arnhem. It also functions as an alternative airport for the cities of Düsseldorf and Essen. It mainly operates low-cost flights to countries in Europe and North Africa.

The airport is located 3.7 km (2.3 miles) southwest of Weeze, 7 km (4.3 miles) northwest of Kevelaer, 33 km (21 miles) southeast of Nijmegen, 48 km (30 miles) northwest of Duisburg, and 70 km (43 miles) northwest of Düsseldorf.

Upon entering the premises, a fee of €4.00 must be paid. There are three parking areas (P1, P2 and P3) for short- and long-term stays near the terminal building. The first hour is free of charge. Payment machines are located inside the terminal and the car parks. Charging stations for electric vehicles are available in car park P1.
