Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport (OPO), inaugurated in 1945, is the second busiest airport in Portugal and the main gateway to the north of the country. It operates a large number of domestic and international flights, connecting Porto with destinations throughout Europe, North Africa, and America.

Information Points

You will find an airport information counter in the public area of the Departures level (Floor 3). For tourist information about the city and region, you can go to the "Porto Welcome Center" counter, located in the Arrivals hall, which operates from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm.

The airport offers multiple parking options that operate 24 hours a day, designed for different needs, from quick stops to multi-day stays. It is recommended to book online to get more economical rates. Payment is made at the automatic payment machines or payment kiosks before retrieving your vehicle.

Drop-off and Pick-up (Kiss & Fly)

There is a designated "Kiss & Fly" zone in the Departures area, ideal for very brief stops to drop off or pick up passengers. After the initial courtesy time is exceeded, per-minute rates apply.

Short-Stay and Convenience Parking

P0 (Executive) and P1 (Classic)

These are the closest covered parking lots to the terminal building, with direct access to the Departures and Arrivals areas. They are the ideal option for greater convenience and for short-duration stays.

Long-Stay Parking

For multi-day trips, the airport offers more economical options, both covered and open-air, all within a short walking distance of the terminal:

  • P4 (Low Cost Plus): Covered parking about a 5-minute walk away.
  • P6 (Low Cost) and P9 (Low Cost): These are the most economical options, open-air, about an 8-10 minute walk away.

Valet Parking

For maximum convenience, you can use the Valet Parking service, which allows you to leave your car with authorized staff directly in the Departures area of the terminal.

Facilities for passengers with special needs

Assistance for Passengers with Reduced Mobility (MyWay)

The airport offers a free assistance service called MyWay to help passengers with reduced mobility. To ensure this service, which includes accompaniment and wheelchair loan, it is essential that you request it from your airline or travel agency at least 48 hours before your flight. Upon arrival at the airport, you can go to one of the "MyWay" meeting points for the assistance staff to receive you.
